Sobre el Registro Único Empresarial y Social
El RUES reúne la información de las matrículas mercantiles de las 57 cámaras de comercio del país. Cada empresa tiene un NIT (Número de Identificación Tributaria) de nueve dígitos más un dígito de verificación, y una matrícula mercantil de la cámara donde está inscrita. Los datos públicos incluyen razón social, tipo de sociedad, estado de la matrícula (activa, cancelada o no renovada), cámara de comercio, domicilio y actividad CIIU.

Revisa el estado de la matrícula
Comprueba si la matrícula está activa, cancelada o sin renovar: una matrícula no renovada indica que la empresa no cumplió la renovación anual.
Identifica la cámara de comercio
El certificado de existencia y representación legal se solicita a la cámara donde está matriculada la empresa.

¿La consulta del RUES es gratuita?▾
Sí. Los datos básicos de la matrícula mercantil son públicos y la consulta en esta página no tiene costo ni requiere registro.
¿Qué es el dígito de verificación del NIT?▾
Es el número que sigue al guion (por ejemplo 900.123.456-7). Se calcula a partir de los nueve dígitos anteriores y sirve para detectar errores de digitación.
¿Qué significa 'matrícula no renovada'?▾
La matrícula mercantil se renueva cada año antes del 31 de marzo. Si no se renueva, la empresa sigue existiendo pero queda con la matrícula inactiva ante la cámara de comercio.
¿El RUES muestra el representante legal?▾
El nombre del representante legal aparece en el certificado de existencia y representación legal que expide la cámara de comercio; la consulta pública muestra los datos de identificación de la empresa.
¿Pueden avisarme si cambian los datos?▾
Sí. Puedes vigilar gratis una empresa y recibir un correo si cambia la razón social, el estado de la matrícula o el domicilio.
